Now that more people are switching to VoIP, ENUM is becoming increasingly popular. ENUM is a way to convert a regular old phone number into a special resource locater called a URI that allows voice to be carried exclusively over the internet. A URI looks exactly like an email address; where the username is followed by the domain name seperated by an @ symbol. The benefit to using ENUM is the huge savings and usually much higher call quality.
I started this blog to keep users informed of the changes / upgrades to ENUMPlus as well as the FreePBX module.
looks interesting but as a large service provider how are we going to upload and verify say 1,000 records? We need a way to submit ascii or csv files without having to validate each number afterwards otherwise the whole process is useless for us.
